Out of the Fire

Biblical Foundation. Practical Tools. Eternal Imapact

You Know You Should Share the Gospel. This Book Shows You How.

My friend was not interested in Jesus.

I had tried everything I knew. Every time I brought it up, he shut me down or cracked a joke. He was sharp, funny, dismissive, and completely closed off. Nothing I said made a dent.

Then one night, a man named Blaine did something I had never thought to do. He didn’t argue. He didn’t appeal to emotions. He simply opened his Bible and read a passage written seven hundred years before Jesus was born. Then he asked my friend one question.

I watched the color drain out of my friend’s face. For the first time since I had known him, he had nothing to say.

What landed in that room was not my personal story. It was not Blaine’s personality. It was the testimony of God, declared through the prophet Isaiah centuries before Christ was born, describing the suffering and death of a man who matched Jesus of Nazareth in precise detail.

My friend could dismiss how Jesus made me feel. He could not so easily dismiss what God had declared centuries in advance.

The question I could not shake afterward was simple: What was it about this that landed so much more powerfully than anything else?

This book is my answer.

The Problem Nobody Wants to Talk About

Let me be honest about something most Christians already know but rarely say out loud.

We have the most important message in the history of the world. And most of us are not sharing it.

Not because we don’t care. Not because we don’t believe it matters. But because somewhere along the way, we picked up the idea that evangelism is for pastors, missionaries, or people with a special gift. We feel unqualified. We’re afraid of saying the wrong thing. We don’t know where to start. And so we stay silent.

Bill Fay called this “the sin of silence.” That may sound strong. I am inclined to agree with him. If we have the message of life and we refuse to share it, we ought to at least wrestle honestly with what our silence costs the people around us.

Here is what most believers have never been told: the problem is not that you lack courage. The problem is that you lack equipment. You have been told to go, but nobody showed you how.

That is what Out of the Fire is for.

What This Book Will Do for You

Out of the Fire is not a theory book. It is not a guilt trip. It is a practical, biblical handbook that will take you from wherever you are right now to someone who can confidently, clearly, and lovingly share the gospel with anyone, anywhere.

The book is built in three parts, and the order matters.

Part I — The Foundation lays the groundwork before a single method is introduced. You will learn why God’s testimony is more powerful than your personal story, what the gospel actually is (and what it isn’t), and what response you are calling people to when you share it. If the message is wrong, the method doesn’t matter. We start here because everything else depends on it.

Part II — The Preparation addresses what happens before you open your mouth. You will learn how to pray for open doors with real expectation, how the Holy Spirit empowers ordinary believers for extraordinary witness, and what it means to call people not just to agreement but to genuine repentance and faith. This section will change how you think about the spiritual dimension of evangelism.

Part III — The Tools is where the methods live. This is not one method. It is many. You will discover how to use Old Testament prophecy to give your witness objective, verifiable weight that no personal story can match. You will learn a Bible-based approach that lets the Word of God do the heavy lifting for you. You will be equipped with a diagnostic method that helps you understand where someone actually stands spiritually before you try to move them forward. You will learn how service and generosity can open doors that nothing else can. You will walk away with a simple four-word framework that lets you proclaim the gospel anywhere, anytime, with nothing in your hands. And you will learn exactly where apologetics fits so you stop putting the cart before the horse.

The “Going Deeper” sections point you to additional resources and recommended reading for continued growth. You are not expected to master everything at once. You are expected to start.

This Is Not Another Book That Tells You to “Just Go Share”

I have read many books on evangelism over the years. Some are excellent. Several of them are recommended in these pages. But many of them do one of two things: they motivate you without equipping you, or they hand you a single method and call it “the” answer.

Out of the Fire is different because it gives you both the foundation and the tools together, and it gives you multiple tools so you can find the ones that fit who you are and how God made you.

You do not have to be a street preacher. You do not have to master apologetics. You do not have to memorize entire chapters of the Bible before you begin. Maybe you will find that handing out tracts and letting a witnessing Bible do the work is exactly where you are most comfortable and most faithful. Maybe service evangelism is where you shine. Maybe the four-word framework in Chapter 10 gives you the confidence to open your mouth in conversations you used to avoid.

All of it is good. All of it is faithful. The unity is in the message, not the method. And please, no “justs.” Do not say, “I just hand out tracts,” or “I just talk to my neighbors.” There is nothing “just” about a Christian faithfully carrying the most important message in the history of the world to someone who needs to hear it. Every effort counts. Every conversation matters.

Already Field-Tested with Real Results

The content of this book is not untested theory. It began as an in-person class at Howell Bible Church, where believers of all ages and backgrounds learned these methods and put them into practice immediately.

This material has been taught as an eight-week course at Howell Bible Church on multiple occasions. Each week, participants learned a different approach and then went out to apply what they had learned. Several people shared the gospel for the very first time and said it was a good experience. Shy people began to speak boldly. Children handed out gospel tracts by the handful in a single night. Some went on to preach the gospel publicly during community events.

Those who have used this material to train others in evangelism have found it easy to both understand and practice.

That is what I want for you. Not inspiration that fades by Thursday. Equipping that lasts.

The Fire Is Real. The Door Is Open.

In Jude 23, Christians are given a command that should keep us on the alert: “Save others, snatching them out of the fire.”

That image is not comfortable. It is not supposed to be. Fire is urgent. Fire does not wait for you to finish studying. It does not linger until you feel ready. The people in your life — your neighbors, your coworkers, your family members — have eternal souls. And the door is still open.

You do not need to know everything. You never will. The power was never in your knowledge. It was always in His gospel. This book will equip you. The Holy Spirit will empower you. The only question is whether you will step out in faith and open your mouth.

Get your copy of Out of the Fire today. Then go. The world is waiting.
